1,825 baptisms at Staindrop in Teesdale district for 1822-1825 and 1827-1854, from the Bishop’s Transcript. We will add 1826 from the parish register next week. Residences mentioned include Alwent, Cleatlam, Darlington, Gibsknees, Hilton, Hulam, Ingleton, Keverstone, Langleydale, Mulberry, New Raby, Raby Castle & surroundings, Shotton, Staindrop, and Wackerfield. We also added the witnesses to the 393 marriages between 1813 and mid-1837, adding another 932 people (whose names can be searched by putting a check mark in the box labeled ‘Search for this person mentioned ONLY as a Witness, Godparent, Grandparent, Other Relative, Employer, etc.’ ) (Can somebody please think of a shorter label for this box???)
