Filling in some gaps, we added witnesses to the marriages at Great Stainton 1804-1811, Grindon 1813-1837, Norton 1813-37, Auckland St Andrew 1813, and Staindrop 1826.
Marriage witnesses added to our existing 767 marriages at Barnard Castle for 1813-1837, giving you 1,629 new names to search in. The Barnard Castle marriages were particularly revealing, because it turned out that for minors, the person who gave consent was named, and we didn’t record that level of detail the first time through these records. If you purchased a marriage in Barnard Castle, you’ll want to review it (log in, click My Previous Orders), especially if the groom or bride was a minor, because for most minors, you get records like this:
We also made several corrections to names, so if you were unable to find a marriage here before, you might want to try again now.
