2,933 baptisms at Wallsend St. Peter in Northumberland, from the Bishop’s Transcript with some checking against the parish register. Coal miners and other workers moved back and forth across the River Tyne regularly, following the work, so residences mentioned on both sides of the river include Carrville, Chirton, Hetton-le-Hole, Howdon Pans, Jarrow, Longbenton, Murton, Newcastle, North Shields, Percy Main, Point Pleasant, South Shields, Walker, Wallsend, Willington, and Willington Quay. This parish is not indexed by the IGI past 1812, so these records have not been widely available and may produce some discoveries for researchers. Some samples:
